COVID-19 WORKPLACE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AND GUIDELINES

With the directives of His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana on the outbreak of COVID-19, the following safety measures have been put in place by the Ga South Municipal Assembly to help prevent the spread of the disease to its staff and clients.

Management of the Assembly wishes to issue the following precautionary measures and guidelines to the staff, clients, and the general public:

  1. PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
    • Provision of veronica buckets for easy access to water and soap to encourage frequent hand washing.
    • Installation of hand sanitizers at all our offices for use by staff and clients.
    • Educate staff, clients and the general public to maintain international best practices recommended by the Ghana Health Service and WHO on social distancing to contain the spread of the illness.
    • Constant monitoring and updating staff, clients and the general public on the COVID -19.
  2. GUIDELINES
    • Individuals showing symptoms of the virus should avoid transacting business on the Assembly’s premises and rather contact the nearest hospital or call the COVID-19 hotlines. 0552222004/0552222005 O509497700/0558439868
  3. Individuals who show symptoms should kindly wear a face mask and report to the nearest hospital or call the hot lines.
  4. Persons who come into contact with individual who have tested positive to COVID-19 should self-quarantine and avoid visiting the Assembly offices. However, in an unavoidable situation, kindly make use of our contact lines, website and digital media by reporting to the Assembly for service. We have displayed the contact telephone Numbers of all Heads of Department and Units for effect service delivery on the notice board of the Assembly and on our digital platform.
  5. As we continue to welcome our clients and put in precautionary measures to prevent and spread the virus, we will observe the prescribed health protocols, and strongly encourage our clients to utilize the Assembly’s telephone lines.

We wish to finally advise that the best form of prevention are regular hand washing with soap under running water and frequent use of alcohol based hand sanitizers and social distancing (2 meters) .
