On 6th March, the people of the Ga South Municipal Assembly joined the rest of the nation to celebrate the 69th Independence Anniversary of Ghana, a day that reflects the country’s enduring journey toward freedom, unity, and development.
The commemoration brought together traditional leaders, assembly officials, students, and residents from across the municipality to reflect on the sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers, led by Kwame Nkrumah, who declared Ghana’s independence in 1957. The celebration served as a reminder of the values of patriotism, hard work, and collective responsibility needed to build a stronger nation.
