Amanfro polyclinic in collaboration with Ga south Municipal Assembly, from the department of administration organized a Breast Cancer Awareness celebration, bringing together healthcare professionals, community members, media personnels and survivors to raise awareness about the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

The event featured educational talks, free screenings and emotional survival stories, aiming to educate the public on how to reduce the risks of breast cancer and encourage regular self-examinations. With the theme know, act and survive, the celebration sought to inspire a sense of solidarity and proactive health management within the community and encourage the early detention of the cancer.

Per the program outline, some schools gave a performance to create awareness on breast cancer to help create a lively environment. Several breast cancer survivors shared a brief story of their painful experience with breast cancer, their chemo sections and life after battling with it for years.

These survivors urged the women to actively pay attention to their bodies for any visible change to help detect any possible case of breast cancer. They concluded by stating that there is life after breast cancer and that even in most cases with one breast or no breast, life becomes more beautiful with loved ones around.
