The 41st Farmers Day Celebration was successfully held on 5th December 2025 at the Tuba Astroturf. The Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in collaboration with the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development organized National Farmers Day Celebration under the theme;” Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future.”
The Annual Celebration of National Farmers’ Day was to provide the platform to celebrate Ghanaian Farmers and Fisheries for their contribution to the economy.
The overwhelming consensus around the celebrations attest to the nation’s profound appreciation of the role and contribution of farmers and their immense contribution in ensuring food security. It is important to keep reminding ourselves that farmers and fishers are indeed indispensable in the national economic fortune and it is hard to imagine our fate without them. Eleven awards categories were given which includes; Overall Best farmer, best crop farmer, best livestock farmer, best irrigation farmer, best faith organization in Agriculture, best primary school in agriculture, best Agro processor, best marine fisher, promising youth farmer, best female farmer and the best Agric worker.
