Earlier today, the Budget Department of the Ga South Municipal Assembly held a meeting with landlord/lady associations at the Assembly Hall.
Representatives from about 60 associations attended the meeting, which began with an opening prayer and introductions, followed by a welcome address by the Hon. Moses Kabu Kubi Ocansey, Municipal Chief Executive.
The Municipal Budget Analyst, Mr. Shadrack Hammond, briefed members on developments within the Assembly, supported by pictorial evidence. He emphasised the importance of revenue mobilisation and encouraged members to pay their rates on time to avoid penalties, noting that the Assembly needs funds to carry out its development agenda.
Members were given the opportunity to ask questions on issues affecting the municipality, including: The poor state of roads Drainage systems Potable drinking water Rate charges
The MCE took note of all the concerns raised and responded to them accordingly. He also underscored the need for prompt rate payments to enable the Assembly undertake more developmental projects. The MCE expressed his gratitude to all members for taking time out of their busy schedules to honour the invitation. Together, let's build a better Ga South!
