The Ga South Municipal Assembly is one of the newly created Assemblies in the Greater Accra Region with it's capital being Ngleshie Amanfro. The Assembly was established by the Local Government Act, 2016 (Act, 936) with a Legislative Instrument (2316). It was created to further enhance and facilitate grassroots decision making and development through effective administration and development planning. It was officially inaugurated on Thursday 15th March, 2018.

Presentation of tools and items to master and apprentices craftperson

3rd March, 2026

On March 3rd, 2026, the Municipal Chief Executive of Ga South Municipality addressed master craftspersons and apprentices at a ceremony for the presentation of tools and items under the National Apprenticeship Programme. He expressed pride and excitement in seeing passionate young people ready to pursue craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, and commended the support of the Members of Parliament and the National Youth Authority for helping make the initiative possible. read more...
